You are one of my real life heroes and I’m a long time supporter. I believe wholeheartedly in you and your work, but you, like everyone else, are not infallible. I have to question your analysis of Chapelle’s SNL monologue.
It was blatantly antisemitic and for you to not understand that, and to defend it, really blew me away. You are too brilliant for such a takeaway. Dave is probably even more brilliant (I’ve been his fan since forever) and his keenly choreographed rhetoric fooled you, I fear. Please watch it again, Shaun, and consider his actual message.
I am a long time follower & agree and support your activism. I am from Philadelphia & in the course of supporting Larry Krasner, his opponent Carlos Vega tried to pull me into his lawsuit against you two requiring me to give a deposition.
I have never met you but fully stand behind you.
I have been advocating for a wrongfully convicted man in Indianapolis, Indiana for the last couple of years. It is looking like he will soon be exonerated and I am now trying to get donations & gifts thru a Amazon gift list I set up for him. I know you have the most generous followers and am wondering if you could tell me how to tap into your followers.
This mans story is really interesting but I won't share his name or story here other than to say he got 60 years when he was 22 years old.
If you can help let me know how to get in touch with you to provide details.
The opening dig at “buying time” by professing solidarity, the schtick about “the”and “Jews”, the “breaking show business rules” about perception ie black gangs, Italian mobs, etc., and how it wasn’t crazy for Ye to think it, it was crazy to say it, to name a few. He was reinforcing the tropes, Shaun.
Btw, I received a message from one of your haters trying to convince me of your corruption. I’m not going to feed a troll, but damn, you get under their skin!
You give me hope and provide me various outlets to express and act upon my deep disagreement with so much that is happening in my beloved country. Thank you.
Shaun, congratulations on your work with The Breakdown podcast. I respect your work and I've never missed an episode. I would, however, like to offer some constructive criticism. It's important that, when providing details about an event, you divulge all the pertinent information. For example, on episode 800 'The Murder of Jordan Neely' you didn't mention that Neely had threatened his fellow passengers just before he was placed in a chokehold. You also didn't mention that Neely had previously physically assaulted an elder. When you omit potentially exculpatory evidence, you lose credibility.
I wanted to take a moment to just say hello and reintroduce myself
Thank you for all you do! Your passion and commitment is all inspiring ♥️
